About the Role

As a licensed Financial Services Consultant (FSC), you will directly contribute to Sun Life's mission of helping clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. You will support clients with their wealth management needs, provide comprehensive portfolio reviews, assist with retirement planning, and advise on financial decisions to help them achieve their financial goals. Your objective is to strengthen client relationships while achieving service and sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively call existing Sun Life clients with a Group Retirement Savings (GRS) plan to establish relationships and educate members on investments, assist with product enrollment, and asset consolidation.
  • Consult with clients by providing investment advice related to their financial needs, including savings and retirement income.
  • Partner with clients to be 'retirement ready' through the use of financial planning tools, ensuring all clients maintain an updated plan to achieve personal financial goals.
  • Review portfolio investments, product options, savings goals, and assist with asset consolidation.
  • Create an investment risk assessment profile for clients to align their investments with their desired risk tolerance.
  • Contribute to sales and service targets by demonstrating the value of employer-provided benefits and assisting with payroll deduction setups, lump sum contributions, and asset consolidation.

Requirements

  • Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP)
  • Experience with selling and supporting clients with investment, savings products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phone or video conferencing
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions to understand needs
  • Possess an owner’s mindset to build strong client experiences and loyalty within a fast-paced evolving team
  • Ability to be agile and effectively manage changing priorities or processes
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only.
