About the Role
The Physiotherapist (PT) is an integral member of the Physiotherapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs. The PT enhances patient quality of life by utilizing best practice and providing assessment and treatment for a mixed patient population in Reactivation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with interprofessional team in providing patient focused care
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Participating in Program planning/development, professional and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research
- Supervising Physiotherapy students for clinical education
- Interacting with volunteers
- Complying with and committing to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Physiotherapist
- Member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada)
- Current UHN employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, have a good employee record along with satisfactory attendance in accordance with UHN's attendance management program, to be eligible for consideration.

Skills
- Canadian Physiotherapy Association membership preferred
- Membership in the Ontario Physiotherapy Association preferred
- Experience in geriatrics and rehabilitation preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving skill

Work Type
- Temporary Part-Time
- 30 hours per week
- 4 days/week
- Days - 8 hour shifts
Experience Level
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Physiotherapist

- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
Salary/Compensations
- $54.08 per hour
