About the Role

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking a District Manager responsible for leadership and oversight of numerous hotel properties.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, administer, and control revenue and expense budgets.
  • Manage monthly inventories, ordering, and receiving of goods.
  • Analyze profit & loss and general ledger statements, submitting P&L variance reports.
  • Review hourly employee hours and address issues with GMs.
  • Review and approve transmittals, front office paperwork, and reports.
  • Authorize direct bill accounts and monitor accounts receivable administration.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Facilitate lead management processes and achieve sales and marketing objectives weekly.
  • Ensure active management and acquisition of sales leads.
  • Maintain relationships with target accounts, sustain revenue growth, and ensure account retention.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with competitive properties, Convention & Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and other lead/client sources.
  • Review studio inventory management to maximize revenue.
  • Interview and hire GMs.
  • Conduct GM performance reviews.
  • Review all hourly team member disciplinary procedures and documentation.
  • Follow progressive discipline steps, including termination, to correct team member performance.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve complaints.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on procedures for emergencies or accidents.
  • Follow appropriate cash control procedures.
  • Ensure security needs of properties and residents are met.
  • Respond to requests from immediate supervisor and provide regular follow-up.
  • Ensure proper uniform standards are followed throughout locations.
  • Frequently sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Perform repetitive ladder and stair climbing.
  • Perform repetitive kneeling and squatting.
  • Perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in marketing, outside sales, or business development.
  • 5+ years' experience in hotel general management.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
