About the Role
ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join our Southwest Facilities team in Austin, TX. This role involves leading inspection and plan review projects, ensuring compliance with state and local building codes, and utilizing hands-on experience in building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform third-party building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections.
- Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Manage code compliance projects, including plan review, technical support, inspections, and monitoring project performance and budget.
- Prepare proposals.
- Attend project site meetings.
- Assist with the resolution of technical and administrative problems.
- Mentor and train other building inspectors.
- Assist with management of P&L.
- Market services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
- Participate in marketing and business development functions related to code inspections.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in code compliance inspection of building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and/or plan review.
- At least one valid ICC certification required (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or Fire Inspector II).
- IECC Certification is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary.
- Texas State Licensed Plumbing Inspector certification required.
