About the Role
As a Warehouse Operations Manager at GXO, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and developing a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with First Line Managers and operational teams to deliver outstanding performance and exceptional service to our customer, Waitrose.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operational KPI targets are consistently achieved across productivity, service, cost and quality measures
- Deputise for the Lead Warehouse Operations Manager and Assistant General Manager when required
- Ensure strategic objectives are effectively communicated and understood throughout the operation
- Champion employee engagement and foster an inclusive, respectful workplace culture
- Lead, motivate and develop large operational teams to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance
- Strong understanding of warehouse performance metrics, resource planning and KPI management
- Ability to liaise effectively with customers, colleagues and third-party stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and service excellence
- Proactive, inquisitive and passionate about challenging teams to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement
