About the Role
Ogilvy Health DACH is a globally operating creative agency that realizes projects through seamless collaboration across disciplines and markets, from local initiatives to global campaigns. Our team works at the intersection of healthcare, social media, strategy, experience, and influence. From Zurich, we manage Ogilvy's healthcare portfolio for the DACH region and selected international clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology sectors. Our interdisciplinary health team combines account management, medical writing, PR, digital, strategy, and creation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design communication solutions for renowned clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Create communication materials such as flyers, brochures, presentations, and sales materials.
- Develop visual identities, digital content, and integrated campaigns.
- Develop strong visual concepts and translate medical and scientific content into clear, relevant communication.
- Manage projects from the initial idea to final implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Medical Writing, Client Services, Strategy, Creative Direction, Digital, PR, Production, and external partners.
- Create communication solutions for print, digital, social media, and moving image.
- Develop visual identities, corporate designs, branding solutions, campaign worlds, and visual narratives for pharma, biotech, and medtech clients.
- Translate medical and scientific content into clear, target-group-oriented, and visually compelling solutions, especially for Rx, disease awareness, and patient engagement projects.
- Present and effectively communicate ideas to clients, oversee implementation, and ensure design quality across all channels and formats.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners such as photographers, film production companies, freelancers, and partner agencies.
- Support pitches, new business projects, and the development of existing client relationships.
Requirements
- Completed training as a graphic designer EFZ, degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience as an Art Director in a healthcare, pharma, or communications agency.
- In-depth experience working with clients from pharma, biotech, and/or medtech.
- Proven experience with communication measures for Rx products.
- Good understanding of medical content, regulatory requirements, and review processes in healthcare communication.
- Strong conceptual and design skills.
- A compelling portfolio.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and common design and presentation tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confident demeanor with clients.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Experience with patient engagement, PR, and awareness campaigns is a plus.
- Knowledge of motion design and social/digital content creation is a plus.
- Combines creative excellence with strategic thinking.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex content and translate it into relevant visual ideas.
- Proactive, independent, solution-oriented, and reliable work approach.
- Ability to work on larger projects as well as specific communication materials in daily business.
- Clear communication and confident presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire clients with ideas.
- Enjoys collaborating in interdisciplinary and international teams.
- Resilience and flexibility for a dynamic and sometimes intensive agency routine.
- Ability to maintain an overview even with high tempo and multiple parallel projects.
