About the Role
Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Network Operations Engineer to join Global Network Services in London. As a Level 3 engineer, you will act as a technical escalation point for critical network services and infrastructure platforms, partnering with teams and vendors to drive stability, resiliency, automation, and operational excellence in a complex global environment. This role is ideal for a networking professional who enjoys solving challenging problems, influencing standards, mentoring engineers, and shaping network operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an SME across multiple networking technologies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and resilience
- Partner with engineering teams to operationalize new technologies
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for global network incidents
- Lead investigation and resolution of complex infrastructure issues
- Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management governance
Requirements
- Enterprise networking experience
- Advanced troubleshooting experience across large-scale IP networks
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Experience operating within highly regulated or mission-critical environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead technical investigations and service restoration efforts
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
