About the Role

This specialist two-year training programme will start in September 2027 and is designed for graduates looking to begin their careers in the charity sector. During the programme, you will work alongside our colleagues and complete four rotational placements over the two years, spending six months in each placement. The format will give you a chance to develop skills and experience in specialist areas such as Education, Climate, Fundraising, Economics, Media, Investigations, Policy, Science, Legal and Projects. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting our projects in real time, as well as being part of a team that truly values your contribution. You will be provided with a mentor who will support you throughout your time with us.

Responsibilities

  • Complete four rotational placements over two years, spending six months in each.
  • Develop skills and experience in specialist areas including Education, Climate, Fundraising, Economics, Media, Investigations, Policy, Science, Legal and Projects.
  • Gain hands-on experience supporting projects in real time.
  • Work alongside colleagues and receive mentorship.

Requirements

  • Or be working towards, a high 2:1 or First Class degree, in any degree subject.
  • 144 UCAS points or 99 Scottish Highers points (or equivalent qualification).
  • Evidence of a strong passion and commitment to the ocean or another environmental cause.
  • Current right to work in the UK.
  • The ability to communicate ideas and information clearly through written content, adapted to engage varied audiences.
