About the Role

Polymer Capital is a market-neutral, multi-manager platform with a strong Asia focus, seeking to discover and develop the region’s best investment talent. We have licensed entities in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Handle license applications, regulatory filings, and reports.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of the Group compliance framework and policies.
  • Conduct monitoring and surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market abuse, insider trading, and other violations.
  • Investigate and resolve alerts generated by trade surveillance systems, and escalate potential issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Work on regional projects including system UAT, new investment models discussion, or system development.
  • Conduct or assist with ad-hoc inspections and regulatory requests.

Requirements

  • University graduate with a major in Business, Finance, or Law.
  • At least 2 years of experience in compliance, preferably in brokerage or asset management firms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel).
  • Fluent in English and Japanese.
