About the Role
Design and operate frameworks for conduct risk management and AML/CFT to embed customer-centric business practices and financial crime countermeasures within the organization. Contribute to the advancement of proactive and effective compliance management through risk assessment, consultation, customer management, monitoring, and training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and classify conduct risks, identify risk events, design metrics, and establish and operate evaluation and monitoring methods.
- Compile customer-centric business practice policies and initiatives, set KPIs, evaluate, and handle disclosures.
- Conduct and update company-wide AML/CFT risk assessments, and formulate and promote risk mitigation measures and improvement plans.
- Establish and support the operation of policies and procedures for customer due diligence (CDD/EDD), transaction screening, economic sanctions/anti-social forces screening, and ongoing customer management.
- Coordinate with relevant departments on transaction monitoring/alert analysis, suspicious transaction reviews/reporting, asset freezes, and other necessary risk mitigation measures.
- Stay updated on AML/CFT related laws, Financial Services Agency guidelines, FATF standards, and group standards; conduct gap assessments and maintain/enhance the framework.
- Evaluate conduct and financial crime risks for new products, services, and sales initiatives; provide consultations and advice.
- Analyze information from complaints, sales quality, customer outcomes, and AML/CFT related metrics to identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to relevant departments.
- Plan, implement, and measure the effectiveness of training and communication initiatives, and awareness surveys related to conduct/customer-centric practices and AML/CFT.
- Prepare reports for CORC, management meetings, board meetings, and group reporting, illustrating not only individual events but also risk trends, response status, and overall control effectiveness.
- Collaborate with related teams such as sales material review, monitoring, operations, IT, and legal to establish a comprehensive management framework without overlaps or omissions.
- Lead strategy and roadmaps for the assigned area, make decisions and escalate important cases, build consensus with related departments, ensure quality of deliverables, develop team members, and advise management (for Manager level).
Requirements
- Experience in compliance, risk management, customer-centric business practices, sales quality management, or AML/CFT related practical experience in a financial institution.
- Understand legal and regulatory requirements for conduct risk or AML/CFT and apply them to practical tasks such as risk assessment, customer management, or monitoring.
- Ability to structure qualitative and quantitative arguments and explain/document them clearly to the target audience.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and build/improve systems that are practically implemented.
- Experience in establishing and operating frameworks for conduct risk, customer-centric practices, or AML/CFT.
- Practical experience in one or more of the following: AML/CFT risk assessment, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting, or economic sanctions response.
- Business-level English proficiency to handle reporting and communication with the group.
- Experience in sales management, complaint analysis, or customer management in the life insurance or insurance agency channel (preferred).
- Possession of financial crime countermeasures qualifications such as CAMS or CFE (preferred).
- Experience in training design, cultural transformation, or change management (preferred).
