About the Role

Build and operate a second-line monitoring and testing function to independently verify the effectiveness of control activities. Contribute to improving the effectiveness of identification, response, and remediation through incident and internal reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute risk-based annual monitoring/testing plans, with responsibilities ranging from executing individual themes to designing and overseeing the entire plan based on grade.
  • Select themes, design and execute test procedures, confirm evidence, evaluate results, create reports, and explain to relevant departments.
  • Design and continuously monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and various metrics, analyzing and escalating when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Evaluate the design and operational status of first-line and 1.5-line controls, visualizing them through heatmaps/dashboards.
  • Receive, perform initial assessments of, conduct fact-finding/investigations for, and manage records of incidents and internal reports, ensuring independence, fairness, and confidentiality.
  • Verify the appropriateness of remediation plans, follow up on progress, and confirm effectiveness upon closure.
  • Draft statutory reports and notifications as needed and coordinate with relevant departments.
  • Strengthen the linkage between CRA results and monitoring activities, and continuously improve business processes and verification methods.
  • For Managers, lead policy and priority setting for the assigned area, case allocation, deliverable quality, member development, and management reporting.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in internal audit, second-line monitoring, testing, or internal control assessment within a financial institution, consulting firm, or audit firm.
  • Ability to execute test procedure design, result evaluation, and reporting with a level of autonomy appropriate to the position.
  • Ability to organize issues based on facts, handle confidential information appropriately, and engage in constructive coordination with relevant departments.

Skills

  • Life insurance industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of insurance laws and supervisory guidelines
  • Experience in internal reporting/misconduct investigation
  • Experience in remediation management
  • CIA certification
  • CFE certification
  • Certified Public Accountant qualification
  • Data analysis experience using BI, Excel, SQL, etc.
  • Business-level English proficiency for reporting and communication within the group
