About the Role
As an Account Executive, Small Store, you will drive growth within Coke Canada's convenience retail channel by building strong customer relationships, executing business strategies, and delivering sales results. This role requires sales expertise, account management, customer onboarding, project management, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives and create value for customers and the organization. We are looking for a results-oriented professional passionate about fact-based selling, customer partnership, and representing our brands while driving sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitable sales growth by understanding customer and channel dynamics, building trusted relationships with senior customer leadership, and identifying strategic growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute Annual Account Business Plans, including objectives, growth strategies, key initiatives, resource requirements, forecasting, budget management, and innovation recommendations.
- Lead collaborative business planning with customers, the Company, and Bottler partners to align priorities, execute partnership initiatives, and achieve mutual business objectives.
- Serve as the customer expert by aligning sales, marketing, operational, and category strategies with customer objectives, schedules, budgets, and business needs.
- Ensure flawless execution of marketing programs, operational initiatives, and customer plans to achieve volume, revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, brand partners, and key decision-makers, to create long-term value and successful partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, customer service, marketing, technical teams, and other stakeholders to deliver effective programs, solutions, and business results.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer trends, providing timely insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Resolve customer, operational, and business challenges proactively to ensure smooth execution, strong customer experiences, and continued business growth.
- Adapt to evolving customer needs, business priorities, and project requirements while maintaining operational excellence, efficiency, and service quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of key account or national sales experience ideally within the beverage or CPG industry.
- Proven ability to lead, prioritize, and execute complex projects in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions, build alignment, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience with Nielsen and other syndicated data sources.
- Demonstrated success in complex selling, including developing and executing customer-specific promotional programs and strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical, financial, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant business applications.
- Must be based within the customer service territory, with preference given to candidates located in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick.
