Leading a team of compliance professionals, you will oversee compliance incident management, including investigations, breach assessments, remediation activities and regulatory reporting. This is a varied and dynamic role that balances strategic framework enhancement with hands-on operational support, offering the opportunity to strengthen the Bank’s compliance culture and drive continuous improvement across the Compliance Program.

  • Influence key business initiatives and projects by providing regulatory insight and risk-based advice.
  • Represent the Bank with regulators, industry bodies and governance forums, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and positive compliance outcomes.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in financial services compliance, regulatory advisory or risk, with a strong understanding of the Australian banking regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex legislation and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, commercial business advice.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence decision-making and engage effectively with senior leaders, executives and regulators.
  • Experience leading regulatory change initiatives, compliance frameworks or governance programs within a complex organisation.
