About the Role
As a Compliance Expert, you will advise on regulatory requirements and support the development of compliant products, services, and processes from idea to implementation, translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise Business and Product teams on regulatory requirements for market entry and international expansion.
- Conduct regulatory assessments and support licensing analyses across jurisdictions.
- Analyze regulatory requirements, assess their impact on products, services and processes, and translate them into practical business requirements.
- Partner with Product, Business, Operations and Technology to embed regulatory requirements into product design, customer journeys, controls and operating models throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design, implement and monitor effective governance, risk and control processes within the product environment.
- Ensure sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements.
- Act as a trusted interface between the 1st and 2nd line of defense.
- Foster collaboration between local and group-wide stakeholders.
- Support compliance technology initiatives.
- Promote innovation, knowledge sharing and best practices to build a technology-enabled and future-oriented Compliance function.
Requirements
- Completed studies in economics, law or a comparable field.
- Several years of Compliance experience within a bank or payment institution, ideally with a focus on product governance, standardization and/or automation.
- Very good knowledge of relevant legal and financial regulatory requirements, including EBA guidelines and EU regulations and directives (e.g. PSD3, CCD2, AMLR).
- Strong ability to analyze regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
- Experience with digital tools, automation solutions and a strong interest in leveraging technology for Compliance.
- Analytical and structured approach, combined with a high level of initiative and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (must-have).
- Good command of German (nice-to-have).
