About the Role
Enhance the knowledge, clinical skills, and competence of nursing and clinical staff within the Emergency Department. Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education, professional development, and accreditation programs in collaboration with key clinical leaders. Ensure equitable access to education, learning resources, and professional development opportunities for all ED staff. Promote evidence-based practice through contemporary education, policies, procedures, and clinical resources. Foster a positive culture of learning, skills development, and continuous professional improvement to support safe, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education, professional development, and accreditation programs in collaboration with key clinical leaders.
- Ensure equitable access to education, learning resources, and professional development opportunities for all ED staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice through contemporary education, policies, procedures, and clinical resources.
- Foster a positive culture of learning, skills development, and continuous professional improvement to support safe, high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- Relevant clinical or education post-graduate qualification and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to their qualification, or four years post-registration experience including three years’ experience in emergency.
- Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools, and approaches including e-learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an Australia visa that grants the necessary work rights.

- 7 day roster (weekends 0730-1600 or 1300-2130 shifts and weekday predominately 1300-2130 shifts with some morning shifts during times of education)

- $124,273.70 - $128,301.89 + super
