About the Role

NDRI-USA is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the Principal Investigator and research team on an NIH/NIDA-funded project focused on overdose prevention. This role offers hands-on experience in research coordination, participant engagement, data collection, project administration, and study operations within an interdisciplinary research team.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule potential study participants for initial screenings and coordinate related study activities.
  • Communicate with participants and study team members to support an organized and positive research experience.
  • Reconcile participant payment receipts on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly logs documenting participant incentive payments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized study records and documentation.
  • Assist with administrative activities necessary to keep project operations running efficiently.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data as directed by the Principal Investigator.
  • Support the research team with study-related documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, researchers, community partners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support the team in meeting project timelines, milestones, and study requirements.
  • Perform other administrative and research-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health, behavioral science, social and behavioral sciences, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative research team.
  • Ability and willingness to work on site at various locations throughout New York City, as directed by study leadership.
