About the Role
We're hiring a full-stack IC Lead Product Designer to own Accounting & Payroll, the most complex and highest-stakes part of how our members run their businesses. You'll partner directly with a Product Lead and Engineering team to turn messy financial workflows into experiences that feel clear, trustworthy and fast. You'll own the work end to end, help shape how we design and grow the team, and ship every day to solopreneurs who get their time back because of it.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand customer needs, business objectives, and industry state to create paradigm-changing experiences.
- Establish a high bar for visual polish and intuitive interaction patterns.
- Clearly define customer and business problems and explore solutions with thoughtful designs.
- Ideate, design, launch, and improve products to advance Collective’s mission.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional product development team to ship innovative and well-crafted experiences at scale.
- Optimize for execution velocity while maintaining a high quality bar, making tradeoffs between design choices and available resources.
- Contribute to growing a robust and refined design system.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
- Demonstrated impact on product strategy and customer experience, preferably within Fintech or Consumer Tech.
- Outstanding UX capabilities and strong visual design competency, including visual, UI/UX, copy writing, and systems-design.
- Experience with and a high bar for visual polish and intuitive, simple design patterns.
- Passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions.
- Innate understanding of the end-to-end design process, from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to apply consumer insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap.
- Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey.
