About the Role

The Community Partnerships Manager develops, manages, and deepens relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, charities, and local businesses to enhance financial wellbeing, home ownership, business prosperity, youth opportunity, and community resilience. This role acts as a key ambassador, ensuring visible, authentic, and impactful community presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the community partnership strategy.
  • Identify, secure, and manage strategic partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, universities, sporting clubs, Chambers of Commerce, local councils, community housing organizations, non-profits, emergency services, Indigenous and multicultural organizations, community centers, and libraries.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities against strategic pillars and objectives.
  • Develop programs aligned with Financial Empowerment, Home Ownership Pathways, Community Capability, Local Business Prosperity, Youth Futures, and Community Wellbeing.
  • Coordinate community workshops, seminars, and education events.
  • Establish annual community engagement calendars.
  • Design sustainable initiatives with partners for long-term outcomes.
  • Represent the bank at community forums, events, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key community leaders and influencers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize community outcomes.
  • Act as the primary contact for Community Impact partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain a community impact dashboard.
  • Measure and report outcomes including people educated, partnerships established, volunteer hours, businesses supported, students reached, financial wellbeing improvements, and first home buyer participation.
  • Produce quarterly and annual community impact reports.
  • Coordinate employee volunteering initiatives.
  • Build opportunities for staff involvement as financial literacy facilitators, school speakers, workshop presenters, and volunteer mentors.
  • Support the implementation of employee community volunteering programs.
  • Support the establishment and growth of the Community Foundation.
  • Develop governance, partnership, and grant assessment frameworks.
  • Identify community investment opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Ensure all community initiatives comply with the Banking Code of Practice, privacy legislation, regulatory obligations, and internal governance requirements.
  • Identify and escalate emerging risks associated with partnerships and community activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in community engagement, partnerships, business development, or stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Experience developing programs and initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management capability.
  • Current driver's licence.
