About the Role
Seeking an entry-level Forensic Accountant to assist in forensic audits, investigations, compliance programs, fraud examinations, construction monitoring, and litigation support. Responsibilities include document analysis, site visits, interviews, and financial data testing to support investigative, compliance, and construction monitoring projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with forensic accounting investigations involving fraud, corruption, financial misconduct, asset misappropriation, and other irregularities.
- Review and analyze financial records, including general ledgers, bank statements, invoices, contracts, payroll records, expense reports, and supporting documentation.
- Perform financial transaction testing, reconciliations, and data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators.
- Assist in drafting client reports and preparing supporting schedules, tables, exhibits, charts, and other presentation materials.
- Support litigation, arbitration, and dispute-related matters through document review, financial analysis, and preparation of exhibits and schedules.
- Assist with construction monitoring engagements through review of budgets, invoices, draw requests, change orders, project expenditures, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, interviews, site visits, and fieldwork, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, investigators, compliance professionals, research analysts, and other subject matter experts on client engagements.
- Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards and professional practices.
- Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to organize, reconcile, and evaluate large datasets.
Requirements
- Strong technical accounting background
- Understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and audit procedures
- Maintain professional skepticism and investigative mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively in written reports and oral presentations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams
- Ethical practice
- Must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

- This position may require long hours and weekend work.
- Travel, including overnight travel, may be required based on client engagements, investigations, site visits, and project needs.
Experience Level
- Entry-level
- 0-2 years of Accounting, Finance and/or consulting experience.
Education Level
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Candidates pursuing CPA licensure and/or CFE designation is a plus.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a plus.

- The base annual salary range offered for this position is based on numerous factors, including job-related skills and knowledge, experience, specific location, relevant education and/or training.
