About the Role

Work side by side with leading retina specialists, helping physicians keep charts accurate and the clinic run smoothly while learning retina medicine up close.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the physician in the exam room, documenting each visit in real time in Nextech MDI.
  • Record exam findings, test results, the doctor's impression and plan, prescriptions, and orders, as the physician directs.
  • Document in-office procedures such as intravitreal injections, lasers, etc.
  • Keep every chart accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Keep clinic flow moving: greet patients, explain what to expect during their visit, and guide them to exam rooms, prepare the exam room for physician.
  • Follow HIPAA and practice documentation standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Medical scribe experience required.
  • Comfort with electronic medical records and medical terminology.
  • Fast, accurate typing.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and keep up in a busy clinic.
  • Friendly, professional communication with patients and physicians.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
