About the Role

Prevent, disrupt, and respond to trends in the fraud, scam, and economic crime ecosystem. Contribute to process improvement and enhanced detection/disruption. Collaborate with team members for best disruption methods and practices. Bring a curious, self-driven mindset and a genuine willingness to learn, experiment, and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify emerging criminal methodologies and trends and contribute to disruption opportunities and research.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency through automation, data analysis, and process optimisation, leveraging technical skills or a willingness to develop them.
  • Build knowledge on fraud, scam, and economic crime processes, use OSINT tools, and apply analysis and documentation techniques to manage the organisation's and our Customer’s exposure to threats.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for continual improvement in intelligence exfiltration and monitoring of fraud and scam infrastructure.
  • Explore new tools, technologies, and analytical techniques and learn how they can be applied to fraud and scam disruption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand priorities and foster a problem-solving mindset.
  • Support project delivery and clearly present complex technical concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
  • Exercise sensitivity in handling complex issues while ensuring privacy, customer and data protections, and relevant laws are adhered to.
  • Take ownership of your development by actively seeking opportunities to learn, build technical capability, and broaden your intelligence and investigative skills.
  • Share learnings and contribute positively to team knowledge and capability.

Requirements

  • Basic technical capability (e.g., coding, scripting, data analytics, or automation tools) or a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply these skills to improve team processes and outcomes.
  • An interest in understanding social engineering techniques and emerging fraud, scam, and cyber-enabled crime trends.
  • A strong self-development mindset, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, analytical techniques, and intelligence methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at various levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet concurrent deadlines.
  • Comfort with trying new approaches, asking questions, and learning through experimentation.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from and share knowledge with others.
