About the Role
This role focuses on managing the cost and legal aspects of construction projects within the infrastructure and major projects team. The primary responsibility is to ensure projects are delivered within the client's approved budget by preparing cost plans, forecasts, financial reports, and providing clear advice throughout the project lifecycle. Effective communication and attention to detail are crucial for informing clients about project finances and managing risks.
Responsibilities
- Measuring drawings manually or using software like CostX.
- Preparing cost plans to establish project budgets.
- Compiling contract documentation for tendering.
- Receiving tender submissions and preparing analysis reports.
- Reviewing tender returns to support contractor appointments.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts for clients.
- Attending site visits and undertaking valuations for payment.
- Supporting value engineering exercises for cost savings.
- Attending project and site meetings.
- Communicating with stakeholders on cost-related matters and project variations.
Requirements
- Achieved or expected to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
- Excellent working knowledge of current IT systems.
- Strong understanding of client care and relationship building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Proactive, adaptable, and flexible.

- Genuine interest in the construction and property industry, particularly infrastructure and major projects.
