About the Role

The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service while accurately processing food and beverage transactions. This role supports daily operations by assisting guests with orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. Alcohol service is limited to beer and wine only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and take food, wine, and beer orders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process cash and credit card transactions
  • Serve beer and wine in accordance with all state and local alcohol regulations
  • Verify identification to ensure legal drinking age for alcohol purchases
  • Maintain a clean, organized cashier and service station
  • Stock and restock food items, beverages, and service supplies as needed
  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items, beer, and wine selections
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and side work
  • Report inventory, equipment, or guest concerns to management

Requirements

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food service and beer/wine service a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must be 21+ years of age (or per local alcohol service laws)
