About the Role
The Barback's role is to unload, load, distribute, and replenish beverages and other items for bars and bartenders in a speedy, efficient, friendly, and professional manner while offering detail-oriented, personalized service. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Stock and restock bars with beverages, ice, glassware, and other supplies throughout shifts.
- Lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) such as kegs, cases of beverages, and ice buckets.
- Push and pull carts loaded with supplies to and from storage areas.
- Assist bartenders in maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables and clean up spills to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced setting while staying attentive to bar needs.
- Support setup and breakdown of bars for events as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and being on your feet for long periods of time.
- Previous experience as a Barback or in a similar physically demanding role preferred but not required.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
