Responsibilities
- Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor or coach to one or more employees, providing honest and timely performance feedback (approximately 10-20% of time).
- Work on multiple complex issues, communicating non-technically to facilitate client and service team communication while managing risk.
- Provide detailed review and analysis.
- Advise clients on International Tax services including planning, research, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and transfer pricing.
- Prepare and assist with complex Tax returns (approximately 5-10% of time).
- Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
- Manage corporate international client needs regarding tax services and federal/state tax compliance.
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university.
- Five years of relevant Tax experience in a large accounting firm or similar environment.
- CPA or equivalent approved professional certification or designation.
- Completed or enrolled in the CPA In-Depth Tax Courses (or equivalent).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within deadlines and firm/client standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- Effective project management skills, including managing multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and at client sites.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours, reporting to a firm office location and traveling to client sites as required.
- Ability to access reliable transportation.
- Ability to work extended and/or non-standard hours during peak periods or as necessary.
