About the Role
The Originations Analyst will work with Relationship Managers to source and structure new loans, analyze financing transactions, and interact directly with customers. This role offers an opportunity to develop quantitative and customer-facing skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential financing transactions with Relationship Managers and deal team members.
- Conduct initial underwriting, including budget, income/expense, and loan sizing analysis for various loan products.
- Assist deal teams with underwriting activities.
- Develop credit memos for loan committee approval.
- Interact with borrowers and brokers to source new loans.
- Respond to customer inquiries and conduct outbound sourcing.
- Attend conferences and investor events to build customer relationships.
- Perform other related duties and special projects.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in work assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or Data Science.
- 0-1 years of experience, targeting recent graduates or those new to the workforce.
- Some experience in real estate, commercial lending, finance, or a related field is ideal.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skill set with superior attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Some travel required (Quarterly).
- Daily phone and/or in-person interaction with customers.
