About the Role
Heritage Premium Meats, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods, seeks a Foodservice Regional Sales Manager for the Capital Region (New York/Pennsylvania/New Jersey) to maintain existing relationships and expand business with customers.
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement company objectives, strategies, policies, and practices with brokers, distributors, and customers.
- Increase existing business in current markets and develop new business by creating and identifying opportunities through broker and distributor networks.
- Manage the broker network to maximize efforts and solicit, train, and assist new brokers in developing new markets.
- Gain experience in all foodservice sales procedures, including competitive manufacturers, distributor networks, support programs, and merchandising.
- Maintain dynamic activity with brokers and distributors, including volume and item distribution management, food show support, sales meetings, product training, and end-user selling.
- Act as the primary liaison between company personnel and assigned brokers and distributors.
- Develop and sell Heritage Premium Meats products to Regional Chain and Operator businesses within the region.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of foodservice sales/marketing/sales strategy experience.
- A pattern of initiative.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the U.S.
