About the Role
This is a build-heavy, customer-facing engineering role where you will own the entire implementation lifecycle for each customer, from kickoff to production launch. You will bridge the gap between product internals and customer environments, and present successful implementations to prospects.
Responsibilities
- Own customer implementations end to end, including scoping, integration, configuration, data setup, testing, and launch.
- Work directly with customer teams to understand their systems, constraints, and goals, translating them into a working Cascade deployment.
- Write and ship code, integrations, and custom configurations for successful implementations.
- Debug and resolve issues in customer environments, and provide feedback to product and engineering teams on recurring problems.
- Present real customer implementations to prospects on late-stage sales calls, detailing what was built, the outcomes, and relevance to their situation.
- Build reusable tooling, templates, and playbooks to accelerate future implementations.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to build and ship production integrations independently.
- Direct customer-facing experience, including running technical conversations and presenting to prospects.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership, driving to a working outcome in complex customer environments.
- Clear communication skills to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders and present implementation stories.
- A bias for shipping and improving the implementation process.

Experience Level
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, implementation engineer, founding/solutions engineer, or early implementation hire at a startup (Nice to Have)
- Experience integrating with HR, benefits, payroll, or HRIS systems (Nice to Have)
