About the Role

Serve as a point of contact for strategic and operational projects for imaging systems, managing Vendor Neutral Archive, DICOM router, and providing advanced DICOM system knowledge. Troubleshoot complex enterprise imaging systems and perform advanced programming and analysis for system development and support. Mentor other Information Systems staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technology programs of major complexity and scope from abstract requirements.
  • Act as a systems expert in developing solutions to solve operational issues.
  • Develop written materials for large-scale and/or complex projects.
  • Present controversial and/or complex information to large diverse audiences.
  • Serve as technical lead on medium to large scope programming projects impacting large segments of the organization.
  • Develop and refine work management processes and methodologies.
  • Train others in technical areas and other skills.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the organization and the health care industry.
  • Empower individuals, encourage employees toward responsibility and decision making.
  • Promote continuous learning and improvement.
  • Conduct team meetings in the absence of a manager or lead.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions for user needs.
  • Plan, develop, direct, schedule, and/or assist in the deployment and/or enhancement of information systems.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires expert ability in multiple technologies or system/applications.
  • Project management and application testing skills are desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Comfortable with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Evaluate and resolve complex problems in a sophisticated manner, using advanced judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of both the organization and the health care industry, anticipating system implications.
