About the Role
Perform onsite repairs of various lift trucks at customer facilities across the GTA. Technicians will be provided with a company service truck, gas card, cell phone, and tablet.
Responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts
- Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service
- Inspect and test engines to diagnose and isolate faults
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment
- Repair and rebuild industrial lift truck equipment
- Estimate repair costs and communicate to customers
- Clean, test, and fill industrial batteries
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience repairing and servicing industrial lift trucks
- Possess a working knowledge of computers and computer software
- Must abide by all company health and safety policies
- Maintain all documentation regarding repairs and maintain and parts inventory
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Should be self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Must have a valid G class driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have your own set of tools
- The successful Technician will submit to a pre-employment background check
