About the Role
Sit Still Kids Salon is seeking a skilled individual to cut children's hair on a full, pre-booked schedule, including clipper cuts, fades, long haircuts, shaping, braids, temporary color, and sparkle add-ons. The role involves working confidently within structured appointment times, keeping clients comfortable, and recommending retail products for commission.
Responsibilities
- Cut children's hair on a full, pre-booked schedule: clipper cuts, fades, long haircuts and shaping, plus braids, temporary color and the sparkle add-ons kids ask for by name.
- Work confidently inside structured appointment times, keeping the book on pace.
- Keep kids and their families comfortable and looked after from the chair to the checkout.
- Recommend the retail products you actually believe in, and earn commission on what sells.
Requirements
- An active New York State cosmetology license.
- Two or more years of professional haircutting experience.
- Confident with clipper cuts and fades.
- Availability on Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Sunday and weekday-afternoon availability is a strong advantage.
- Experience with children's hair is a strong advantage.
- High-volume cutting background where you built real speed is a strong advantage.
