About the Role
P.F. Candle Co. is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate for their North Beach store, focusing on the 2026 holiday season. This role involves welcoming customers, possessing deep product knowledge, and connecting with diverse individuals. Associates report to the Shop Manager and require flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Utilize strong sales techniques to upsell or cross-sell products.
- Ensure a seamless checkout process, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Achieve and exceed sales goals through personalized recommendations and building customer relationships.
- Stay informed about all products and communicate their unique selling points effectively.
- Greet customers with a warm, friendly demeanor and create a welcoming environment.
- Engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and offer product suggestions.
- Provide expert knowledge and customer education on product information, development, production, and care.
- Gather customer feedback and share with the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized storefront with well-stocked and aesthetically aligned product displays.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and restocking.
- Organize back stock and storage areas for efficiency.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and balancing the register.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, such as in-store promotions or social media content.
- Assist with in-store events and activations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills founded on honesty and transparency.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing time efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Interest in learning about P.F. products and enthusiasm for brands with a similar mission is a plus.
