About the Role

Lead, execute, and deliver challenging valuation engagements from proposal to completion. Manage business valuation assignments, staff, business development activities, and appraisal reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Perform company, industry, and economic research.
  • Analyze client financial statements.
  • Construct financial models.
  • Assess operational profitability and financial conditions.
  • Develop and review cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform benchmark analysis.
  • Document and maintain all appropriate aspects of work product.
  • Compose narrative reports in support of valuation analyses.
  • Prepare necessary exhibits and memos.
  • Ensure quality controls are adhered to for all work products.
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings.
  • Assist and provide guidance to peers and staff on project plans and deliverables.
  • Supervise the day-to-day workload of VCMA Senior Associates and Associates.
  • Review work product of VCMA Senior Associates and Associates.
  • Ensure VCMA Senior Associates and Associates are trained on relevant valuation databases and models.
  • Evaluate the performance of VCMA Senior Associates and Associates.
  • Assist in the development of goals and objectives for professional development.
  • Deliver periodic performance feedback and complete performance evaluations.
  • Act as Career Advisor to VCMA Senior Associates and Associates.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years of business valuation experience in a Big 4 or national firm required.
  • Significant experience in business valuation and intangible assets required.
  • Prior experience in financial reporting valuation and appraisal review.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and research skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with an ability to meet project deadlines and focus on details.
  • Ability to multi-task independently or within a group.
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of effectively managing a team of valuation professionals and delegating work.
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel.
  • Ability to encourage a team environment and contribute to professional development.
  • Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on engagements.
  • Ability to interact with professionals at all levels.
  • Ability for intermittent travel within the US and internationally required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $95,000 - $150,000
