About the Role

This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dishroom and kitchen areas, ensuring sanitary wash cycles, and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

Load, run, and unload dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
Keep dishroom clean and organized.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul dishroom trash and recycling to dumpster at designated times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.
Washes pots and dishes, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations.
Follows safety regulations and precautions at all times.
Follows established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures.
Ensures that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to your supervisor immediately.
Reports all accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
Assists in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner.
Disposes of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
Reports missing or illegible labels or MSDSs to your supervisor.

Requirements

Develops and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
Reports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals.
Attends and participates in annual in-service training programs.
Dependable, report to work on-time for every schedule shift and work full schedule shifts unless physically unable or pre-approved Paid Time Off (PTO).
Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be clean and neat in appearance and have a “friendly,” hospitality-oriented, and service-oriented demeanor.
Abide by work-related / job procedures and organization policies.
Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply).
May be requested to assist in the evacuation of Residents or perform other procedures to protect the safety of Residents, visitors and team members during emergency situations.
