About the Role

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is seeking a strategic real estate professional to provide expertise and advice to stakeholders and client ministries, ensuring optimal utilization of provincial lands and buildings. The role involves developing strong client relationships, recommending real estate solutions aligned with government objectives, and managing complex portfolio opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic real estate advice and expertise to stakeholders and client ministries.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of provincial lands and buildings in support of government objectives.
  • Develop strong and trusted client relationships with an assigned portfolio of government ministries.
  • Develop, evaluate, recommend, and present real estate solutions to client ministries.
  • Ensure financial analysis of options aligns with government policy and mandates.
  • Develop, recommend, and present complex real estate portfolio opportunities and solutions for effective program delivery.
  • Manage and lead space utilization, feasibility, and alternate usage studies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategic asset management, real estate consulting, or corporate real estate.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of real estate trends and financial analysis (present value, cost-benefit, cash flow, payback methodologies).
  • Excellent customer service, consulting, business case writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong issues analysis, management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Analytical synthesis skills to understand complex issues.
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies.
