About the Role
Harvey is building AI-native software for professional services, and security is fundamental. As a leader on the Product Security team, you will embed security into the engineering organization, enabling teams to build quickly and securely. You will help shape the product security roadmap and lead a team of engineers, owning defined areas of Harvey's production surface and working closely with product and platform engineers to shape architecture, influence design decisions, and build security tooling.
Responsibilities
- Translate the broader security strategy into focused priorities and measurable outcomes for your team.
- Hire, develop, and lead Product Security Engineers, establishing clear ownership and helping them become trusted partners to their engineering counterparts.
- Align security investments with business priorities and the technical realities of our platform.
- Own your team's planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Provide technical direction on architecture reviews, threat modeling, and remediation.
- Scale the team's impact through automation, developer tooling, and secure-by-default patterns.
- Improve our security standards and engineering practices.
- Communicate risks and progress to engineering leaders, build alignment on priorities, and hold the team accountable for meaningful improvements to Harvey's security.
Requirements
- Experience managing Product Security or Application Security engineers at a growing technology company.
- A strong engineering background with deep expertise in modern application security and cloud-native architectures.
- A track record of delivering security improvements through engineering, automation, and close partnership with development teams.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing security engineers, with a focus on technical growth and clear ownership.
- The ability to translate broader security goals into focused team priorities and measurable results.
- Sound technical judgment and the ability to earn credibility with senior engineers and influence cross-functional partners.
Salary/Compensations
- $272,000 - $408,000 USD
