About the Role
The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking a Manager, Promotions, Experience & Fundraising Events to enhance the fan experience at Rogers Centre. This role supports premium experiences, integrates promotional programs, manages talent, and drives fundraising events for the Jays Care Foundation, aiming to exceed $2.4 million in annual fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and game-day execution of promotions, theme days, and fan activations.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external vendors for promotional initiatives.
- Oversee operational planning for assigned promotional games and theme days.
- Manage vendor sourcing and logistics, including budgets, quotes, and invoice processing.
- Support the management of live entertainment programming in the Outfield District and Premium Clubs.
- Support the evaluation and elevation of the end-to-end guest experience across the ballpark.
- Support the execution of Jr. Jays Sundays, including game-day activations and entertainment.
- Partner with Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience on the strategy and management of the Jr. Jays Club.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Jr. Jays Club, including digital engagement and event execution.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture focused on best-in-class fan experience.
- Lead the planning and execution of Jays Care Foundation fundraising events.
- Partner with the Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience to translate strategic objectives into detailed event plans.
- Oversee all event operations, including project workbacks, logistics, and on-site execution.
- Provide on-site leadership to drive seamless execution and manage stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent execution quality across all events.
- Act as the primary decision-maker for event delivery domains including scope, budget, vendors, and timelines.
- Escalate decisions to the Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience when required.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies for events.
Requirements
- Completed University or College education in a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of event planning, fundraising, or partnership experience from the public and/or not-for-profit sector.
- Experience managing complex events and multiple projects concurrently.
- Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Salesforce fundraising software is an asset.
- Leadership abilities to manage and mentor team members.
- Polished written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Creativity and willingness to share ideas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Team player with the ability to support big picture goals while contributing to day-to-day execution.
- Must be available for all Blue Jays home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
