About the Role
Kikoff is a profitable, pre-IPO fintech company focused on empowering individuals to achieve financial security. We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking individuals who are passionate about building impactful products and helping millions of people improve their financial well-being.
Responsibilities
- Lead the data work for a core Kikoff product area, defining key questions, building evidence, and driving subsequent actions.
- Define and maintain the measurement system for your product area across the entire customer journey.
- Own product experimentation for your area, including design, guardrails, analysis, and rollout recommendations.
- Oversee the evaluation of AI product surfaces, defining success metrics and validating automated scorers.
- Build and evaluate models when appropriate, including proof-of-concept, challenger models, and offline evaluation.
- Partner with product, engineering, design, and lifecycle marketing leads on roadmap and objectives.
- Enhance the skills of team members through work reviews, onboarding, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Experience partnering with product, engineering, and marketing peers across strategy, goal setting, approach, and execution.
- Proven ability to define metrics from scratch and implement them effectively, even for challenging products.
- Experience designing and executing experimentation programs, including situations without clean randomization.
- Proficiency in production-quality SQL and Python for building pipelines, analyses, and models.
- Experience building or collaborating on models that influence product decisions.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily analytical work, showing improvements in speed and quality.
- Ability to drive decisions with data in front of senior audiences, even when data contradicts plans.
- Experience building or running an evaluation program for an LLM-based product.
- Consumer fintech experience, particularly with products serving un- and under-banked customers.
- Experience building an experimentation or causal inference practice within an organization.
- Experience taking a model from proof of concept to production or shipping test/challenger models.
- Experience mentoring, onboarding, or managing other data scientists.
