  • Provide leadership and creative direction to freelance motion designers.
  • Craft and initiate new visual products in partnership with other creative leads.
  • Own the team’s motion design and animation best practices, establishing and evolving standards, workflows, and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines for motion and animation.
  • Act as an advocate for motion designers across every project.
  • Contribute hands-on where needed and route work to the appropriate freelance artists.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners, clients, vendors, and outside resources.
  • Act as a key creative stakeholder in brainstorms, kick-offs, and status meetings.
  • Own motion timelines across projects, setting milestones, tracking progress, and flagging risks.
  • Produce work end-to-end on select campaigns while overseeing others.
  • Review the work of freelancers and provide clear, actionable notes.
  • Partner with writers, producers, and video editors to align story and visual direction.
  • Attend video shoots when VFX are involved.
  • Act as the link between outside motion designers, video editors, creative directors, and art to coordinate asset handoffs and feedback.
