About the Role

This role is dedicated to supporting the implementation of Phase 3 – Student of the college's Enterprise Resource Planning Student Information System Migration. Analysts will support key initiatives regarding the conversion, migration, integration, and reporting of data from legacy to future systems. The position provides programming and systems analysis and design expertise in the development, maintenance, and support of the College's information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, codes, documents, tests, and maintains programs according to specifications and/or user requests.
  • Provides project management, systems analysis, and systems design for small systems and sub-systems to satisfy business requirements.
  • Provides programming requirements to assigned programming staff, answers questions, performs system testing, and provides test systems to end-users for end-user acceptance testing and approval.
  • Provides system training and support for end users and the End User Support Specialist.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-year diploma/degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of computer programming experience, including at least one year of experience in project management, systems analysis, systems design, SQL Server database administration, and SQL programming.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.
  • Transcripts are mandatory as a condition of employment.
