About the Role
OpenText is seeking Strategic Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to join their global Centres of Excellence for Sales Development. This role involves partnering with Client Executives to develop territory strategies, discover, nurture, and qualify pipeline, and convert leads into sales-qualified opportunities and revenue. You will collaborate with peers to attract and qualify prospects, engage in cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach, and support opportunities through the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Client Executives to develop territory strategies for discovering, nurturing, and qualifying pipeline.
- Convert leads to Sales Qualified Opportunities and revenue.
- Collaborate with peers to attract and qualify prospects evaluating OpenText solutions.
- Engage in cold calling, cold emailing, and social media outreach.
- Support and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline with Sales and Solution Consultant teams.
- Uncover and develop new business opportunities via outbound cold calling into targeted enterprise-level accounts.
- Articulate business value through persona-based research and storytelling.
- Qualify and develop new business leads from campaigns and digital events to generate Sales Qualified Leads.
- Build a profile of customer pain points, map the buying process, and engage additional stakeholders for inbound leads.
- Re-engage opportunities, identify blockers, map stakeholders, and nurture relationships to move opportunities forward.
- Act as a trusted advisor and build customer relationships via outbound cold calling, email, social media, and video engagement.
- Identify key contacts and target accounts using Salesforce and research tools.
- Track and manage lead generation activity, progress, and forecasting within Salesforce and Outreach.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline and performance.
- Qualify leads using BANT criteria and prospecting sequences.
- Achieve quarterly targets.
Requirements
- Comfortable cold calling, cold emailing, and engaging via social media and video.
- Strong understanding of B2B lead generation and business development.
- Energetic, tech-savvy, motivated, and creative.
- Quota carrying role for career-minded individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and understand complex business challenges.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strategic and creative approach to researching and engaging enterprise accounts.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Goal-oriented, self-starter mindset with strong analytical capability and ownership.
- Ability and desire for continuous learning.
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator are beneficial.
- Proven outbound lead generation experience within a technology environment preferred.
