About the Role
The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT, responsible for architecting, engineering, and delivering oversight for the QRT network estate, with a focus on colocation infrastructure. The role involves managing network solutions across core network switching, firewalls, load balancers, instrumentation/telemetry, network CMDB, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Architecting, engineering, and delivering oversight across all aspects of the QRT network estate.
- Focusing on colocation infrastructure, including wide area connectivity and ultra low latency trading infrastructures.
- Delivering network solutions for full lifecycle management (architect, design, build, operate, retire) for network components.
- Managing core network switching, firewalls, load balancers, instrumentation/telemetry, network CMDB, and automation.
- Partnering closely with project management teams.
- Working collaboratively within the network team and the wider organization.
- Staying informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
- Engineering networks focused on traffic prioritization and steering.
Requirements
- Demonstrate delivery of complex networks at scale through a software and automation-driven mindset.
- Deep knowledge of high-performance networking.
- Detailed knowledge of product capabilities and roadmaps from vendors like Cisco, Arista, and Fortinet.
- Direct experience delivering and managing network solutions supporting corporate infrastructure and exchange-specific ultra low latency infrastructure.
- Experience with associated automation, telemetry, and instrumentation frameworks.
- Expert knowledge of delivering complex network architectures via software-driven and agile methodology.
- Deep knowledge of delivering networks supporting high-performance and low latency computing architectures.
- Deep knowledge of the network vendor ecosystem.
- Ability to demonstrate building engineering relationships at senior layers with vendor product and engineering teams.
- Knowledge of wide area network engineering focused on traffic prioritization and steering.
