About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager with UFT expertise and experience in the public sector for client projects, starting immediately in permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordination, and execution of test activities with a focus on test automation using OpenText UFT.
• Analysis of existing manual test cases for quality, completeness, and automation potential, and coordination of necessary adjustments.
• Design, implementation, and further development of automated test cases for software products, web solutions, and hardware systems with OpenText UFT.
• Development of sequential and keyword-driven test scripts and automation of additional test cases from development projects and IT services.
• Execution of automated functional, integration, system, regression, and acceptance tests, including evaluation and documentation of test results.
• Error analysis, maintenance, and further development of existing UFT test scripts to ensure stable test automation.
• Integration and management of automated test cases with OpenText UFT and OpenText ALM / Quality Center, and documentation of work progress in Jira.
• Creation and maintenance of documentation for automated test scripts, including demonstrations and handover protocols.
• Onboarding and knowledge transfer for project staff and IT services regarding test automation, maintenance, and application of automated test scripts.
• Conducting training sessions on OpenText UFT and sequential/keyword-driven scripting approaches.

Requirements

• In-depth experience in planning and executing software tests with a focus on test automation in complex IT and service environments.
• Proven experience in test automation of desktop, Microsoft Office, and reactive web applications, especially with OpenText UFT.
• Practical experience with modern test automation methods in OpenText UFT, including structured setup of Object Repositories, Page Object Pattern, descriptive programming for object recognition, and parameterized/data-driven test scripts.
• Experience in evaluating and designing test automation approaches in complex service/solution environments and implementing automated E2E test flows in integration test environments.
• In-depth knowledge of integrating and managing automated test cases in test management tools like OpenText ALM / Quality Center and OpenText SDM.
• Experience in consulting and advancing test automation strategies, including knowledge of model-based test automation approaches.
• Experience in analyzing, documenting, and tracking errors, as well as maintaining and developing automated test scripts.
• Solid knowledge of common test methods and processes, and experience collaborating and transferring knowledge with development, business departments, and responsible IT services.
• Demonstrated certification in software testing, e.g., ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or higher.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams and coordinating with development, business departments, and project management to ensure high software quality.
• Native German speaker or at least C1 level German.
• B1 level English.
