About the Role

The Employment Specialist will provide services through OPWDD and our ACCES-VR contract by offering assessments and job coaching to individuals seeking and maintaining employment. You will assist clients with resume development, job searches, interview preparation, and provide onsite coaching for successful community employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services through OPWDD and ACCES-VR contract.
  • Conduct various assessments.
  • Provide job coaching services to individuals seeking employment.
  • Assist individuals in maintaining their employment.
  • Help clients develop a resume.
  • Conduct job searches.
  • Prepare clients for interviews.
  • Provide onsite job coaching to support successful employment in the community.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license meeting WWAARC insurability standards.
  • Secure and maintain all required certifications and training (e.g., 1st Aid & CPR, Decision Driving).
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for providing services.
  • A completed WWAARC application is required for application/transfer.

Experience Level

  • 1-year experience working with people with intellectual and other development disabilities (preferred with Master's or Bachelor's degree in human services/business or related field)

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in human services/business or related field (preferred)

Salary/Compensations

  • $21.00 per hour + longevity
  • $0.50/hour longevity increase after 1 year of service
