About the Role

This role involves managing cash transactions with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to regulatory standards, and maintaining positive guest and employee relations within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, exceeding expectations.
  • Handle cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange.
  • Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities.
  • Redeem chips and gaming tickets for cash.
  • Redeem cash for chip transactions.
  • Verify and process machine fills, table fills, and credits.
  • Process cash advance transactions.
  • Process Sportsbook betting.
  • Pay out Jackpots to Slot Attendants.
  • Enter all AML transactions when the threshold is reached.
  • Check I-Track to identify banned customers.
  • Issue floats to other departments and reconcile closing floats.
  • Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents.
  • Document and reconcile transactions, including bank deposits.
  • Build strong working relationships with guests and employees.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform NRT machine fills, including filling and dropping machines with cash cassettes and coins, which involves physical work such as pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Reconcile NRT machines.
  • Prepare and deliver money transfers.
  • Count and balance the main bank.
  • Verify money in the bank and at cashier windows.
  • Prepare coin bags and fill NRT cassettes with money.
  • Count slot buy and table buy money.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining good public relations with guests and employees.
  • Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation.
  • Comply with pre-determined internal control procedures.
  • Requires a high school diploma or a comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Requires one or more years of experience in the related field.
  • Possess organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Require strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding area.
  • Familiarity with a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cash, foreign currency, and other settlement types is required.
  • Required Registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant through the AGCO.
