About the Role
Work side by side with the Creative Director to bring every Naked Wolfe collection to life, from initial concept sketching and CAD to sample finalization, ensuring timely and accurate product development.
Responsibilities
- Hand-sketch and CAD footwear designs based on Creative Director's direction, including technical drawings and spec sheets.
- Build and update tech packs with construction, materials, colorways, sole and heel details, and measurements.
- Research trends, competitors, and the wider market, providing regular trend and shop reports.
- Manage the collection critical path and proactively identify risks to deadlines.
- Coordinate all sample schedules with factories and sample rooms, tracking all sample types.
- Review incoming samples, record feedback, and ensure corrections are made to meet the brief.
- Maintain up-to-date line sheets, sample trackers, and product masters.
- Provide support for accessories and other categories as needed.
- Attend factory calls and occasional factory or trade fair trips.
- Conduct fit sessions and document fit comments across the size run.
- Maintain a library of materials and components within the studio.
- Prepare for handover to wholesale, including sealed samples, final specs, and approved colorways.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in footwear design or development, or a strong footwear-focused graduate portfolio.
- Confident freehand sketching and CAD skills for footwear (Illustrator essential; Rhino or other 3D is a plus).
- Understanding of shoe construction, lasts, materials, and components.
- Ability to work fast, stay organized, and meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Keen awareness of current trends in footwear, fashion, and street culture.
