About the Role
The Product Assistant will support the Product team's publishing efforts by conducting preliminary submission reviews, managing templating, publishing translations, and providing author service within a collaborative environment. Their attention to detail and ability to handle competing priorities are essential for enhancing the Product team's operations and contributing to the success of Ivey Publishing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary pre-reviews of product submissions, including author credentials, file management, consent forms, and iThenticate.
- Assist with templating, ensuring compliance with current Ivey Publishing Standard Guidelines.
- Assist with the coordination of case competition submissions and maintain the CRM.
- Assist with duties required for new products, including Cases 2.0 and digital learning experiences.
- Manage current English published products for identification, templating, registration, and publishing in alternate languages.
- Work with requestors/translators to arrange permissions, copies, templating, and publishing of translated products.
- Perform day-to-day management of CEIBS – Chinese language related products.
- Maintain the publish cases inbox.
- Complete product revisions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide training and guidance on the use of Ivey Publishing materials to staff, authors, reviewers, and editors.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute logistical arrangements for select Product team events and projects.
Requirements
- Successfully completed an undergraduate university degree.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related business education and/or professional corporate setting (e.g., Higher Education, Financial) is an asset.
- High degree of attention to quality, detail, and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities with a high volume of products.
- Resourcefulness with the ability to exercise independent judgment and flexibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professional verbal and written communication, tact, and diplomacy.
- Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and language rules.
- Knowledge of copyright law is desirable.
- Experience with product/contact management databases, such as Salesforce CRM.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and database applications.
