About the Role
This client-facing role sits within Global Markets Agreements and Documentation, responsible for drafting, negotiation, advising, and execution of trading documentation for Bank of America entities. The candidate will work on complex, high-impact documentation supporting global clients, enabling efficient client onboarding, business growth, and regulatory compliance. This position offers broad exposure across products and stakeholders, acting as a relationship manager for priority Markets clients and a go-to advisor for documentation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, structure, and advise on derivatives documentation including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, IM documentation, bespoke Collateral agreements, cleared derivatives documentation, GMRA and GMSLA, FBF, and Deutscher Rahmenvertrag.
- Collaborate with Sales, Credit, and the Onboarding team to enhance client documentation onboarding efficiency.
- Advise front office, sales and trading, operations risk, and collateral teams on documentation issues during negotiations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinate the agreement negotiation process across products for a portfolio of high-priority clients.
- Liaise with internal partners and marketers/traders to ensure transactional agreements accurately reflect credit and business terms while complying with laws, regulations, and bank policies.
- Update trading agreement and other systems of record.
- Undertake regulatory and special projects as required.
Requirements
- Prior related experience in a similar role.
- Strong substantive knowledge of markets documentation, including French law and/or German law master agreements.
- German and/or French language skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and drive execution.
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment within defined parameters.
- Significant experience with hedge fund structures and the PB industry.
- Law qualification preferred but not essential.
