About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineering Designer with strong technical capabilities, communication skills, and a client-focused approach to join our Commercial (Tenant) team. This role is well suited to an Engineer-In-Training looking to take on greater technical responsibility and client exposure while continuing to develop toward professional licensure. We seek an individual who is technically curious, detail-oriented, comfortable working directly with clients, and motivated to take ownership of projects and deliver practical, high-quality electrical design solutions for commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

Prepares plans, designs, engineering calculations and cost estimates for complex projects.
Assesses design constructability and makes edits to existing design specifications.
Manages and prioritizes project activities to meet deadlines.
Develops standards and reports.
Applies tools and methodologies for product and service delivery (e.g., AutoCAD, HHA Drawing Standards, Plotters).
Gains exposure to creating project plans by assisting Project Managers.
Ensures technical accuracy and competency of design details.
Accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
Ensures timesheets, logs and files are accurate and up to date.
Works independently with general supervision in solving problems.
Other duties as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
3-4 years of experience in engineering consulting within the building services industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, constructible design packages on schedule.
A collaborative mindset, open to feedback and mentorship, with a commitment to continuous growth in technical and project delivery skills.
Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards.
