About the Role
Menorah Park is seeking a full-time Cook to provide quality cooking services in our dietary services department.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation of meals.
- Ensure food preparation practices comply with all applicable safety requirements, protocols, and guidelines.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
- Performs general duties of kitchen organization, sanitation, food safety, and pricing.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of meals.
- Adheres to established sanitation regulations, food safety procedures and department rules, policies, and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- 2+ years cooking experience in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
- Food Handler's Certification/Permit preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures and temperature control.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
